LAKE WASHINGTON
L

ESCAPE TO RURAL
NORTH DAKOTA!

Deer Hunting - Waterfowl Hunting - Upland Game - Bison Hunting - Snowmobiling - Fishing - Lodging

Lake Washington Lodge invites hunters to take advantage of the ideally located lodging facilities surrounding thousands of acres of public land, or to visit and experience a guided hunt.  Lodging rates are very favorable.

Deer Hunters -
Gun & Bow:

Lake Washington Lodge (LWL) is located in the heart of deer country in Unit 2F1. LWL borders 7,500 acres of public land including National Guard Land to the East, and 1,500 acres of Lake Washington Management Area land to the west. The landscape includes rolling hills and woody draws. Some of the farm land in this are includes CRP. The great deer populations combined  with good cover makes for an excellent hunting experience. Call for the availability of guided whitetail deer tags.

Waterfowl Hunting:

There are many large bodies of water and potholes surrounding Lake Washington Lodge.  Giant Canadian Geese and Sand Hill Cranes are abundant, as well as many species of ducks. Positioning field decoys in October is very rewarding, as geese, mallards, and cranes group up and feed in the mornings and evenings. September early goose hunting is phenomenal!

Upland Game:

Since the start of the CRP program 15 years ago, sharptail grouse numbers have been increasing dramatically. An early morning drive will sharptail all over the roads drying off from the evening dew. In the heat of the day, walking the CRP bordering the grain fields will present you with many opportunities with game. A great morning dove population also creates many opportunities.

Bison Hunting:

There are many large bison herds in the area. Guided bison hunts can be arranged.

Lodging:

Lake Washington Lodge was once used to bottle water from a nearby spring. The interior of the lodge is finished with the theme of an old cowboy town, with a loft and porch overhang. Deer mounts and many things from the past cover the walls. The bedrooms will sleep up to six people, and are furnished with pillows, linens, blankets, and alarm clocks.

Guests of the lodge share two kitchens fully equipped with a stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, Coffee posts, dishes, and cooking utensils. Two bathrooms also come complete with towels supplied. Washers and dryers are also available. The recreational room has a fireplace and complete furnishings including a T.V., V.C.R., pool table, and darts.

After a full day of hunting, you can make full use of the cleaning room, which is equipped to handle everything from walleyes to whitetails. Plenty of freezer space is also available.

Rates:

Please call for rates as they change depending on the number of people and the length of stay.

Lake Region Lodge is beautifully located on the East shore of South Washington Lake. The sunsets are incredible, many evenings you will find deer running by the lodge, and Canadian Geese returning from feeding. When the sun goes down, the Coyotes come alive and begin to howl.

If you want to see rural North Dakota, this is a great place to start. Wildlife is abundant and fishing is excellent. Call us today to reserve your great hunting escape!
